One of Pakistan’s most popular TV and film stars has met with fans and even got in the boxing ring on a visit to Blackburn.

Shahzada Ghaffar Khan known as Mithu has appeared in countless TV shows in Pakistan with clips from his videos receiving millions of shares.

Shahzada was at the Chaii Café in Freckleton Street over the weekend where he met fans and posed for pictures with staff.

He later spent time at an adjoining boxing club, getting in the ring with young fighters to spar.

The comic is immediately recognisable due to his diminutive height, and stood on a chair to pose with fans on the visit, but despite being small in stature his big personality and comic skills make him a huge hit with fans.

Rajal Afzal, who invited him to the café, said: “We were delighted to have a comedy legend in Blackburn and at the café.

“The café was packed and there were still people waiting outside to greet him. It just shows just how much he is loved by people both here and in his own country.

"The meet and greet at the cafe was a huge success and we will be looking to host something similar again soon."

Lancashire Telegraph:

Zaf Iqbal, who helped to arrange the visit, said: “It was wonderful to have him here in Blackburn.

“He gets mobbed wherever he goes both in Pakistan and abroad.

“We have some friends who knew him and we decided it would be great for him to visit the town. He was really funny and witty with everyone and loved being here.

“As well as visiting the café he spent some time sparring with some young boxers.”
