MONEY could be released sooner than expected to pay for a replacement Todmorden High school, said Calder Valley MP Chris McCafferty.
She said the latest Gover-nment announcement gave hope money would be made available, if Calderdale could provide plans for a rebuilding project, showing they could meet the capital project successfully.
Under the new legislation, money would be released by the Government to help local authorities pay for the necessary refurbishment work being carried out. Mrs McCafferty said: "Under the new proposal, between August and October, Calderdale Council will be asked to put forward plans for the highest priorities, and I am certain that Todmorden High is one of these."
