A ROCK band from the Valley raised more than £500 for Sophie Lancaster's memorial fund.
Sophie Lancaster was murdered by two youths for the way she looked in Stubbylee Park last year.
Dear Superstar - made up of Micky Satiar, Amadeus Fontaine and Adam Smethurst, all of Rawtenstall, Benj Ashmead, from Haslingden, and Stew Milton, of Bury - played Sophie's memorial gig at a packed Bacup Football Club on Saturday night.
Micky said: "The gig went really well and everyone had a great time. We raised well over £500! The support bands - A New Day Falls and Waste Angels - were brilliant and the place was rammed."
The band also sold clothing by Ed Stone to raise more money towards the campaign.
