A WOMAN took a hammer and smashed her neighbour's windows because she felt they were behind moves to get her evicted.
Blackburn magistrates heard that Marie Holmes was in a drunken state when she went outside and began shouting abuse and demanding that her neighbours come out and face her.
And after smashing the window of her neighbour on one side she went to the house on the other side and put the hammer through the windows.
Holmes, 44, of Railton Avenue, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to two charges of criminal damage causing a total of £400 worth of damage.
She was remanded on bail until May 13 when she was due to be dealt with for other matters and when the magistrates will have the benefit of a pre-sentence report.
Claire Grant, prosecuting, said the incident had been caught on closed circuit TV and when police arrived they found Holmes hiding under a parked car.
"She was extremely intoxicated," she added.
