PENDLE'S mayor Coun Allan Buck will be on hand to officially open a tourism centre along with youngsters from a youth theatre.
The new Discover Pendle Centre, on the site of the Boundary Mills store, in Colne, will be officially opened on Saturday, May 10.
The centre, which aims to attract many of the 2.5million visitors to Boundary Mill each year, will provide information about what to see and do in Pendle and includes an accommodation booking service.
Pendle Youth Theatre, a brass band and street entertainers will also help celebrate the opening of the centre from 11am.
Coun Buck said: "The Discover Pendle Centre opened its doors to the public in March alongside the new Boundary Mill and has already proved to be a great success.
"It's a fantastic way of making people aware of what Pendle has to offer as a visitor destination."
The centre, which has some of the longest opening hours of any visitor office in the UK, opens seven days a week.
Vaughan Jones, Pendle's tourism manager, said: "The centre has attracted more than 9,500 visitors in its first five weeks and distributed more than 12,000 leaflets.
"If you haven't already visited the centre, this is the perfect opportunity to come and have a look around and meet our friendly and knowledgeable staff."
