A PENSIONER has been convicted of sexually abusing a girl.
Leonard Hoy, 68, of Albert Street, Burnley, was convicted at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court of indecent assault.
His victim, who lived in the Oldham area, came forward in February 2007.
The jury convicted Hoy of indecent assault, committed on an unknown date, when she was aged 16.
Hoy will be sentenced on Saturday June 21.
Detective Constable Julie Balkwell, of GMP's Oldham division, said: "Hoy's victim has been greatly affected by what happened.
"This result has been a successful one and I hope the sentence will bring some comfort to her."
Hoy was acquitted of two charges of engaging in sexual activity with a child and indecent exposure.
He was also found not guilty of four counts of indecently assaulting a girl when she was between the ages of eight and 13 years old between October 1994 and October 2000 and two charges of taking indecent photographs of a child.
