A PEDAL powered smoothie maker is being taken into businesses and communities to help people achieve their five-a-day' portions of fruit and veg.
The Burnley Food Forum, a partnership between East Lancashire Teaching Primary Care Trust, Burnley Borough Council and other agencies, is behind the project.
Jane Summers, Workplace Health Co-ordinator for Burnley Borough Council's Planning and Environment Services is leading on the initiative, otherwise known as Push and Crush'.
Jane's team have built the Push and Crush' using a bike, dynamo and a smoothie maker and the forum is keen for local people to cycle their way to a smoothie.
Jane said: "Smoothies are a great way to enjoy a portion of fruit towards your five-a-day."
The pedal powered smoothie maker has already been a hit with local children at Sure Start Southwest Burnley and with staff and clients at the St Peter's Centre.
The smoothie maker will be at a number of community events this summer, including Burnley College, Lupton & Place and The Chai Centre.
