A MAJOR refurbishment of training offices for the young people of Darwen is set to be unveiled.
Training 2000, the largest independent training provider in the North West, has spent £8,600 on a suite of new computers and furniture at its offices in Duck-worth Street.
Wendy Hunter, from Training 2000, said: "It looks really smashing down there.
"We hope it's going to be even more successful now the money has been spent. It's a really positive move for Darwen."
The Darwen office deals with the Entry to Employment scheme for 16 to 19 year olds.
A minimum of six months is spent with the young people, helping them gain life skills, identify what is expected by the employer, and then identifying a suitable workplace for them.
Modern apprenticeships and vocational qualifications are also offered.
The refurbishment will be officially unveiled on April 30.
