CREATIVE Kiran Ayub has beaten off competition from children across the country to win the chance to appear on her favourite television show.
Her colourful design was judged the winner of a T-shirt competition held by Toonattik, a weekend children's programme on GMTV.
Kiran, a pupil at Accrington's Heathland School, went to the studios in London on Thursday to film the show which will be broadcast on Sunday.
The 11-year-old, from Clayton-le-Moors, said it was a big surprise: "The only time I've won anything before was when I won a box of Maltesers in pass-the-parcel, and that was eight years ago.
"My friends are amazed and they don't believe me because it's a really big prize.
"I'm a bit excited but my family are more excited than me."
Ayub Sadiq, her father, said: "We're very proud that Kiran has won and very happy she will get this experience."
Jacquie Hide, vice principal at Heathland School, said: "It's quite an achievement to win a competition which so many children have entered."
