A Blackburn schoolgirl has spoken of her honour after receiving one of the last ever letters to be sent on behalf of the Queen.
Seven-year-old Ella Woods, from Blackburn, designed a card for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and sent it to Buckingham Palace earlier this year.
The Griffin Park Primary School pupil was “over the moon” to receive a reply earlier this month.
Ella said she brought the letter to her school assembly on Friday (September 9).
She said: “I drew a picture of the Queen and I used wrapping paper that had London and the Queen all over it. It took a very long time to finish.
“I showed my teachers and friends the letter at assembly on Friday and my teachers and friends were really shocked. They all said it was wonderful.
“I am sad that the Queen has died now but I feel excited and special that I got one of her last letters."
Ella’s dad, Spencer, said: “She designed a card for the Platinum Jubilee and posted it to the palace.
"I didn’t think we would hear anything back and then a month-and-a-half later we received a reply.
“The card she sent was decorated with London-themed wallpaper theme with a drawing of the Queen.
“We are all buzzing and amazed by their response.”
The family posted a video of Ella with her letter and it has since taken of on video sharing site, TikTok, where it has amassed more than 5,000 views.

The letter was sent on behalf of the queen by lady-in-waiting Elizabeth Leeming.
The letter said: “The Queen wishes me to write to you and thank you for the drawing you did for Her Majesty and which you sent in a decorated envelope.
“It was kind of you to remember The Queen at this time and, although unable to respond to you personally, Her Majesty greatly appreciated your thought for her.
“I enclose a leaflet for you to enjoy and thank you once again.”
Spencer said the letter is “extra special” since the sad announcement of the Queen's death on Thursday (September 8) as it means it one of the last letter to be sent on behalf of the monarch.
Spencer said: “We had an idea that Queen’s death would be announced on Thursday but it was still heartbreaking when the news was actually released.
“The letter is something we can keep forever and something Ella can tell people about for the rest of her life.
“Ella was over the moon when she got the letter and we are so proud of her."
