A LANDMARK pub which was torched during the Burnley riots has so far failed to sell after being on the market for six months.
Bury-based property agents Kings Business Transfer said the Duke of York, Colne Road, would be a sound investment for would-be licensee.
But company official Kim Seehye said that although the property had been for sale since last August, there had been no viewings.
She said: "We have had a lot of interest since it went on the market and we have sent out lots of sales packs.
"We are optimistic that we will find a buyer soon."
The premises have been recently refurbished and come with a function room and "spacious" accommodation for the owners.
Though out of use in recent years, there are also nine bedrooms, on the third floor, which Kings Business say could be developed as accommodation.
It is up for sale with a £420,000 price tag.
The advert says it is a "Recently closed pub in a prime, highly visible main road position and recently refurbished. Viewing is highly recommended".
The Duke Bar pub was torched during the Burnley riots in 2001 but reopened the following year after it was repaired.
