Three lanes are closed following a lorry crash on the M6 near Kendal.
A heavy goods vehicle has overturned on the M6 between Junction 38 and Junction 37.
As a result, lane three southbound and lanes one and two northbound are closed, whilst emergency services complete a ‘complex recovery’ and emergency barrier repairs.
The lorry has flipped onto its side and fallen onto the crash barrier.
The driver does not appear to have suffered any significant injury at this time and is going to hospital for checks.
National Highways North West said the lanes will be closed but there are no current delays reported.
A spokesperson said: "Lane 3 ( of 3) southbound and Lanes 1 and 2 ( of 3 ) northbound are closed on the M6 between J38-J37 following a HGV overturning.
"Traffic Officers and contractors are at the scene to complete a complex recovery and emergency barrier repairs.
"There are no current delays reported."

Traffic is building around the incident, which isn't expected to be cleared until 2.30pm. There is currently around eight miles of congestion around the crash heading northbound.
In an update National Highways say the traffic has now been released with with lanes one and two (of three) closed to allow recovery agents to complete the recovery of the lorry.

National Highways posted an update saying the lorry has been recovered but lane three of three is now closed in both directions on the M6 between J38 and J37.
