Sky has released more information about the release date of Brassic season four, which was filmed across East Lancashire.
The new season is set to air from Wednesday, September 7, and many scenes for the series were filmed in Accrington.
In January, camera crews and the star-studded cast were spotted in Rising Bridge.
At the end of October 2021 pictures also emerged of the cast in Church Street.
The series follows the lives of Vinnie O'Neill, played by Chorley actor Joe Gilgun, and his friends in the fictional town of Hawley.
The Brassic cast also includes Manchester lass Michelle Keegan, and the team have regularly been spotted filming in East Lancashire locations such as Tockholes, Bacup, over the last few years.
Series four follows Vinnie as he tracks down Erin (Keegan), who fled Hawley at the end of the last series to escape dangerous criminal Terence McCann.
Not much has been revealed about the new series but viewers have been told to expect the gang to cause mayhem at a murder mystery night.
Blackburn-born Steve Pemberton, who starred in Inside Number 9 and Happy Valley, will also make a cameo appearance alongside the fancy dress-clad cast in this scene.
Speaking to a national newspaper, Joe said he “felt like a king” when he got to kiss bombshell actress, Michelle.
He said: “Is she a good kisser? I'm not telling…
"Let's just put it this way, it is one of those moments where once you get on your own, you punch the air with your fist and feel like you might have taken over the world somehow.
“It's only brief, then you remember that you're just pathetic again. But for a split second, I felt like a king!
“I was nervous because Michelle's a goddess, a married goddess, and I'm a scrawny little f***er who's never going to come out the other end of that well, let's be honest.”
A massive hit with critics and viewers alike, Brassic is produced by Calamity Films and co-created by Joe and Danny Brocklehurst, with Gilgun nominated for a BAFTA earlier this year for his performance as Vinnie.
The series has been dubbed “gloriously fun” (Heat), “raucous and racy” (TV Times) and “like nothing else on TV” (Radio Times). .
Producers have also confirmed that Brassic will return for a fifth season in 2023 and filming for the show will commence soon.
A spokesperson confirmed that filming will again take place across East Lancashire.
All episodes of Brassic season four will be available to watch from Wednesday 7 September on Sky Max and streaming service NOW.
