Fire crews were called to extinguish a car fire on the M6 North yesterday afternoon.
Four fire engines from Bamber Bridge, Leyland, and Wigan were called at around 3.50pm yesterday to the blaze between junctions 27 and 28.
Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reels to extinguish the fire.
The fire crew were at the scene for just under an hour.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “At 3.51pm on August 29, four fire engines from Bamber Bridge, Leyland and Wigan attended a vehicle fire on M6 North between Junction 27 and 28.
“Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reels to extinguish the fire. “Crews were in attendance for fifty five minutes.”
