Nearly every student at Nelson and Colne College achieved at least one A* to C grade in their A-Level results.

The ‘outstanding’ college is boasting a 99 per cent pass rate in A-Levels while they celebrate another year for level three learners who they say have once again exceeded expectations.

These successes come on the back of the College’s Outstanding Ofsted rating in March 2022, making it the only Outstanding Further Education College in Lancashire.

On top of the 99 per cent A Level pass rate, the college has also seen a 99 per cent advanced vocational pass rate.

Ninety-six per cent of students have received at least one A* to C in their A-Levels, with 14 per cent of students receiving exclusively A* and As.

In advanced level vocational studies, 88 per cent received exclusively D* to merit while 48 per cent received exclusively D* to D.

In addition, this year saw the first ever batch of T-Level students receive their qualifications which provide students with the academic advantages of an A Level, while also gaining essential on-the-job training.

Nelson and Colne College T-Level Learners achieved an impressive 95 per cent pass rate, with Digital Production, Design and Development learners achieving a 100 per cent pass rate.
