Fire crews were called to tackle a house fire at a property in Walton-le-Dale yesterday.
Two fire engines from Preston and Penwortham were called to a fire in Beechwood Avenue at 3.22pm on Wednesday.
They used oxygen therapy to treat one person for smoke inhalation and a positive pressure ventilation fan to disperse the smoke.
The person was then handed over to the care of the ambulance service.
The crews were at the house for less than one hour.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “Two fire engines from Preston and Penwortham attended a domestic building fire in Beechwood Avenue, Walton-Le-Dale.
“Firefighters used oxygen therapy to treat one casualty for smoke inhalation as well as a positive pressure ventilation fan before handing the casualty over to the care of the North West Ambulance Service.
“Crews were in attendance for just under one hour.”
