People in the UK enjoyed a heatwave last week but the period of fine weather is over and the Met Office has issues a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms.
The warning currently covers all parts of Lancashire and most of the UK.
At the time of writing, the warning covers Lancashire until midnight on Tuesday (August 16).
According to the Met Office, thunderstorms are expected to hit between 1pm-3pm today and again on Tuesday.
Cloudy skies and light rain is in the forecast across the region this week with temperatures expected to reach highs of 20°C.
