THE cast of Blackburn’s biggest ever summer panto are getting ready to take audiences on a journey into Tik-Tok Land.
Pop Up Entertainment is staging a spectacular show for all the family at the Blackburn Empire Theatre which opens on Sunday and runs until next Thursday.
Alice’s Adventures in Tik-Tok Land is based on the classic tale by Lewis Carroll but has been given a modern twist. When Alice attends the Queen of Heart’s party and ends up going viral it’s off with their heads!
Amy Morris, managing director of Pop Up Entertainment said: “This will be unlike anything you have ever seen before. As a company that’s based in Blackburn we are delighted to be bringing this show to the Empire with such a great cast.
“It will be the party of a lifetime and the perfect show to take the family to during the summer break. There’s everything you would expect in a traditional panto - singing, dancing, laughs and plenty of audience participation - and it looks amazing.”
Pop Entertainment has been involved in some major productions including the Christmas pageants at the Trafford Centre, Blackburn’s Christmas lights switch-on and producing shows for leading cruise lines.
The director and musical director for Alice in Tik-Tok Land is Liz Long who has starred in Les Miserables in the West End and also in a UK tour of Fiddler on the Roof.
The cast includes Ellie Crosby as Alice; Keith Braley Marshall as the Mad Hatter; Tessa Durkin as Bunny Eilish and Sarah Bailey as the Queen of Hearts.
