Retired heavyweight champion boxer, Tyson Fury, has cut the ribbon at a Lancashire restaurant's grand opening.
Tyson opened the new Sultan of Lancaster Experience restaurant on Caton Road, Lancaster.
It is the restaurant’s second branch with the first located at the Lancaster University site.
Tyson, who lives in Morecambe with his family, also made a short speech before officially cutting the red ribbon.
In his speech he even spoke about running for Prime Minister.
He said: “Here we are at this grand opening of the Sultan Experience restaurant. I want to say thank you to everyone who turned up today.
“Don’t forget to vote for me in 2030 as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom – vote Fury.
“[Sultan’s] is now officially open to everybody.”
According to a Sultan’s spokesperson, Tyson has been a fan of the business since the age of 18 and is a frequent visitor to the site.
He made headlines after visiting with his dad, John, and brother, Tommy, in September 2020.
A spokesperson for Sultans said: “We have opened a new store on Caton Road in Lancaster our first store being at Lancaster university which has been open for 15 years.
“From this store we will be delivering food to Lancaster, Morecambe, Heysham and all the surrounding areas; you can also come in for a meal.
“Tyson has been coming to Sultans ever since he was a young man.
“He’s a family friend and is always willing to support us and support local businesses.
“He comes in quite frequently and sometimes just pops by to say hi and see how we’re all doing.
“Truly the peoples champion!”.
