A Blackburn geek culture venue are offering kids a once in a lifetime opportunity to have breakfast with their favourite iconic superheroes this summer.
The world’s biggest superhero names – Spider-Man, Bat-Man, and Captain America have cleared out their diaries to join Geek Retreat in Blackburn for breakfast.
Geek Retreat is a safe and friendly space for locals who share a passion for games, movies, anime, sci-fi and all things geek related to come together and socialise.
Chris Holden, manager at Geek Retreat shared his excitement for the inaugural breakfast with superheroes events.
The idea came to Chris about a month ago when Geek Retreat hired an entertainer from the Preston-based entertainment and party company, Lightning and Friends, to stand outside of the shop dressed as a ghostbuster with a replicate of the iconic ghostbuster van.
A seeing the pure joy this brought to the fans, the pair came up with the plans to host the breakfast events.
He said: “We thought we’d get this idea going whilst all the kids are off for their holidays and give them something fun and a bit different to do.
“It’s the first time we’ve done this so we’re really looking forward to it.”
Tickets are priced at £10 per child. The cost includes a breakfast butty (bacon, sausage or hash brown), unlimited juice and a free slushy drink plus, as well as an exciting hour with one of their favourite superheroes!
Geek Retreat are running the breakfasts on the following dates:
