For Deputy Headteacher Jo Bleasdale it was the first time she had seen the school hold a charity day.
Miss Bleasdale said: “It is absolutely amazing seeing all the students come together and just celebrate the end of year and raise money for charity. The students are so dedicated it makes me really proud.”
One of the more unique stalls was a crash the can Angry Birds for Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary, while mocktails were served up by Maryah and Aleya Miah and their friends Reshma and Sadia Ali.
Sadia said: “Making mocktails is something that we have as a celebration and I thought it would be nice to do for charity day. We raised a lot of money.”
One stall challenged students to match the baby picture to the teacher while on Teachers’ Pet, they had to match the cat, dog or other pet to Miss or Sir to raise money for Women’s Aid.
More traditional stalls included guess the name of the teddy, lucky dips and a hook-a-duck while home-made arcade games were brought in by Year 8 William Nuttall whose dad makes them.
