Jordan North has been spotted taking part in some summer games and activities this week, including riding an inflatable unicorn and taking part in a giant egg and spoon race.

This is part of The Radio 1 Games – a week of special programming putting the DJs to the test with an array of games including; egg and spoon race, hungry unicorns and a five legged race.

They have been broadcasting live from Brighton this week after descending on the city’s Hove Lagoon on Monday (18 July).

So far Burnley’s Jordan North, has had success in the games – but other moments have been chaotic.

Jordan secured a win in what was described as “the most intense egg and spoon race ever”, as he managed to keep his giant glittering egg on his giant spoon in order to cross the finish line.

After securing his victory, Jordan said: “I would like to thank my mum, my dad, my mum.

“In year six when I was beaten in the egg and spoon race and I never though I’d see this day, so thank you.”

However, Jordan hasn’t been as successful in the ‘hungry unicorns’ challenge when he went up against colleague, Vick Hope.

Here, the duo attempted to pick up as many colourful balls from the water as they could – all while floating on an inflatable unicorn.

Jordan said the task was “a lot harder than it looked”.

Jordan also tried his hand at body dragging, a freestyle trick performed by a windsurfers.

However, it didn’t end well when the Clarets supporter ending up losing a shoe.

In another hilarious moment, reminiscent of the 2017 Oscars when the incorrect winner was announced, Jordan was the linesman for one of the games in which two teams played a water version of tug of war.

He announced the incorrect winner of the game.

Jordan, 32, said: “We have a winner! [Team] Melvin, congratulations."

“Jordan, I’m going to have to interrup there," said a radio presenter. "They didn’t win. Rickie’s team quite clearly won.”

Jordan said: “Oh I’ve got it mixed up! Sorry Rickie you won. Oh my God this feels like the Oscars all over again – why did you leave it to me?

“There are now some sad faces and some happy ones. Sorry for my terrible refereeing.”

The latest game is The Radio 1 Giant Jigsaw ,where a Radio 1 logo has been broken into twenty large jigsaw pieces and hidden in twenty locations across the UK.

Relying on Radio 1 listeners, DJ Greg James must find all twenty pieces and transport them to Brighton where he must assemble them on a lake.
