Two lucky people will be able to meet, greet and embark on a bike ride with former World Superbike champion, Carl Fogarty.
Insurance company, Bikesure, are giving you the chance to win a pair of tickets to meet Carl at The Silverstone Classic, an annual three-day car and race event at the Silverstone Circuit, on Saturday, August 27.
Carl, from Blackburn, spoke to the Lancashire Telegraph and said he is looking forward to meeting his fans at the event.
The four-time Superbike World Champion said: “I have been an ambassador with BikeSure for over 10 years – they have been hosting some extra special events this year.
“Someone will be able to meet up with me go on a 15 to 20 mile bike ride. I can also answer some questions they might have.
“I meet fans all the time and I bump into them every day and it’s always nice to see them.
“I feel like I’ve got a bit more time on my hands these days compared to when I was racing and I enjoy these event more than I used to.
“It should be a good weekend.”
Carl says he is slowly winding down and cutting back on the amount of things in his diary – including television appearances.
Carl, who won the 14th series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, said he’s unlikely to be appearing in its ‘All Stars’ spinoff or any other reality show.
He said: “I didn’t expect to win I'm Celeb but I did – and it was an amazing experience.
“I’ve been asked to do every show you can think of but I am really not interested – TV fame doesn’t bother me.
“Can you imagine me on Strictly Come Dancing? Dressed in sequins and watching me throw some shapes. All my mates want me to do it because they want a good laugh.
“However, not with my two left feet or the injuries I’ve had to my leg, it would be a disaster.”
Carl, who is currently living in the Ribble Valley village of Mellor, said he’s unlikely to move anywhere else.
He said: “I like spending more time at home doing fun stuff now like getting on my bike or hitting the water.
“I’m a fair weather rider now and in the summer I like to get out or go off-road riding with the lads in winter.
“I’ve been here all my life and won’t go anywhere else – I am happy, it’s home and ticks all the boxes for me so why change that?
“I love my house and the views I have. I don’t think there is any better place to live in the country than Ribble Valley.
“It’s where my friends and family are.
“The weather isn’t great most of the time but when it’s sunny like it is right now, it’s the best place on earth.”
