A road has been closed as a large fire has broken out at a pub in West Bradford.
Six fire engines from Clitheroe, Great Harwood, Hyndburn and Blackburn, the command support unit, the aerial ladder platform from Hyndburn and the stinger from Blackburn, were all mobilised at 1.40pm this afternoon to the Three Millstones pub on Waddington Road.
The fire service drone has also been sent to the scene.
Police have closed the road between Eaves Hall Lane and Clitheroe Road with motorists asked to avoid the route. On arrival, crews found the pub to be well alight.
Six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are currently using three hose reels and two jets to extinguish the fire.
Crews remain at the scene and are asking neighbours to keep their doors and windows closed until further notice.
A spokesperson for the police said: “We are currently dealing with an incident on Waddington Road, West Bradford with Lancashire Fire and Rescue service. The road is closed between Eaves Hall Lane and Clitheroe Road. Please plan to avoid this route until further notice.”
While a spokesperson for the fire service added: “We currently have a number of fire engines and special appliances at an incident on Waddington Road, West Bradford.
“There are road closures on Waddington Road, please avoid the area.
“If you can see or smell smoke, close your windows and doors.”
