A primary school has launched an appeal for laptop computers and tablets to help children get online and study.

All Saints Church of England Primary School in Clayton-le-Moors is working with Mazuma Mobile to help its children get the best access to learning possible.

Together, they are looking for people to take any redundant, unwanted, or old devices to a collection point at the Friends and Parents of All Saint's summer fair at the school on July 2 between 11am and 2pm.

All items collected will then be professionally wiped and where possible reloaded with the latest software and redeployed within the school.

Any devices not suitable for reuse will be securely recycled with all proceeds shared with the school to help purchase new devices.

School headteacher, Nicola Saporita-Clark, said: "We are desperate to be able to deliver a more effective computing curriculum to our children.

"We really need to increase the number of devices and update the technology we have in school to do so.

“Our children live in a digital world, and we want to be able to support them in developing skills to flourish in that world.

“Please help us by bringing old and unwanted devices that we can recycle, helping to reuse resources that are without a use whilst raising much needed funds for our school."

Graham Elleray, Head of Marketing at Mazuma Mobile and ICT Reverse, added: “There are a number of reasons why we want to help the pupils of All Saints and it’s important to us to help ensure the children get the best education possible.”
