A number of cows have been injured and one has died following a suspected dog attack.
The incident is thought to have happened on land between Wheel Lane and Fluke Hall Lane in Pilling on June 9.
Sadly one of the cows had to be put to sleep due the severity of its injuries and another cow was left unable to stand.
The Wyre and Fylde Rural Task Force are now appealing for witnesses following the attack.
A spokesperson for the police said: "If anyone has any information or witnessed this incident then please could you get in touch via our Force Control Room on 101 quoting log reference 0913 of June 9 or via email.
"A polite reminder, if you are entering footpaths on farmland please ensure that dogs are kept on leads to prevent any livestock worrying or attacks which could leave the dog owners/handlers liable to prosecution."
