RIBBLE VALLEY actor Lucien Laviscount was nominated for an MTV ‘best on screen kiss’ award – but he lost out to a reptile.
Lucien, from Read, was nominated in the MTV Movie and TV Awards, which were held earlier this week.
Lucien and his Emily in Paris co-star, Lily Collins, were hoping to win an award for ‘best kiss’ at the ceremony.

They were facing some tough competition with actors from The Batman, Spider-Man: No Way Home and Euphoria also vying for the title.
However, the winner came from an unexpected movie when Sean McInerney, also known as ‘Poopies’, and a snake scooped the win for locking lips (and fangs) in Jackass Forever.
The comedian was given the accolade for a stunt in which he was made to 'kiss' a snake during the comedy prank movie.

In a short acceptance speech he said the win was “a dream come true” and thanked his Jackass production crew and co-stars including Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O.
He also joked he and the snake from the film had “broken up” now he was “a big time movie star” before the giant reptile was brought onstage by six crew members.
The prankster gave the snake a kiss, adding: “I am so glad that thing did not bite me.”
Describing the experience, he said: “You just close your eyes and see what happens.”
Poopies is one of several new cast members to join the Jackass franchise as part of the latest film, alongside British star Eric Manaka.
The hit Netflix show, Emily in Paris, has topped Netflix’s top 10 list in 94 countries since airing in December.
The show is centred on marketing executive Emily Cooper, played by Lily Collins, who is hired to provide an American perspective at a marketing firm in Paris.
Lucien plays Emily’s love interest, Alfie, a British expat who she meets in French class.
The show’s executive producer, Darren Star, has confirmed his return at a panel discussion in America.
Lucien starred in several TV series and soaps between 2007 and 2011, including Grange Hill, Coronation Street and Waterloo Road.
Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph in 2006, Lucien said: “Hopefully I will be in Grange Hill for a few years and after that I want to get into films.
“I would love to make it big in America or Britain”.
Back in 2011 he also landed a place in Celebrity Big Brother and came fifth overall. In the reality show, he made headlines for his persistent flirting with The Only Way is Essex's Amy Childs.
He has also branched out into the world of American dramas, starring as Earl Grey in Fox’s Scream Queens and Alexander Caboot in Katy Keene.
