A man has been jailed after allegedly asking women for sexual acts in a Lancashire park.
Reports were made to the police of a man acting suspiciously and approaching females in Coronation park, Ormskirk last month and an investigation was carried out.
Neighbourhood officers who were on proactive targeted patrolling of the park area encountered a man called Paul Williams and matched his appearance to the description provided by the victims.
Williams, 51, of Lowther Avenue, Merseyside, was then arrested.
Officers carried out extensive CCTV enquiries which revealed footage of Williams approaching females in the park and town centre of Ormskirk, where he was alleged to have asked for sexual acts.
The CCTV evidence and the accounts provided by the victims of Williams behaviour ensured a successful prosecution.
On May 27 Williams was sentenced at Preston Magistrates Court for public order offences and imprisoned for six weeks starting immediately.
