BLACKBURN presenter AJ Odudu has shown off her royal dress sense after "matching outfits" with the Queen at the weekend’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
AJ said she was “beside herself” when the Queen stepped onto the balcony in a similar bright green outfit, as the monarch brought Platinum Jubilee celebrations to a close on Sunday, June 5.
Posting a video to her 228,000 Instagram followers, AJ said: “Here she is! The Queen is also in green and I’m beside myself.
“We’re in matching outfits.”
The monarch appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace wearing a Stewart Parvin outfit – a vibrant green double crepe wool dress and coat, adorned with the Bow Brooch.
Her outfit was finished off with a Rachel Trevor-Morgan hat with a black pom-pom, pearl jewellery and white gloves.
AJ’s outfit was very similar, as she donned a green mini skirt and blazer.
The former St Bede’s High School pupil rubbed shoulders with the stars during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, as she co-presented the BBC’s live coverage.
She posed with some of the UK’s famous faces, including Sir Cliff Richard, Holly Willoughby, Joe Wicks and more.
In one snap, AJ can be seen next to Dame Joan Collins and Dame Darcey Bussell, as they sit in a vintage Jaguar.
Joe Wicks, Gok Wan and Patsy Kensit also stopped by for a chat ahead of their journey on the open top double-decker Platinum Jubilee buses.
In another video, crowds screamed and cheered as AJ travelled to the palace on a pageant bus, along with comedian Rosie Jones and other celebs.
AJ also posed with legendary singer, Sir Cliff Richard, who also rode in an open-top bus around London.
AJ’s Instagram followers took to social media to praise her Platinum Jubilee appearance – as well as her matching green outfit.
One person said: “Loved watching you today”
“You were amazing AJ,” said another. “Also love this outfit.”
“You are getting so many fab gigs AJ. Well-deserved success,” said another.
“Matching outfits with the Queen,” said another. “'ell colours …maybe not so much the skirt for Her Highness.”
Another said: “You are a complete riot AJ. Please get someone to write a sitcom for you - you are hilarious.”
