An injured person was treated for burns earlier today after a fire broke out.
Fire crews from Burnley Fire Station, arrived on the scene at Valley Gardens, Hapton at just before 4pm on Sunday afternoon where they found a blaze underway at an outbuilding.
They were able to bring the fire under control using a hose reel jet, while the injured person was treated by paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service.
A statement from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: “The fire involved an outbuilding of a domestic property.
“Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
“One casualty was assessed at the scene for burns by paramedics from North West Ambulance Service.
“Crews were in attendance for one hour and twenty minutes.”
Aside from the person who was treated by paramedics no other injuries have been reported, nor has any damage to other nearby buildings or vehicles.
As yet, the fire and rescue service has not released any details as to the cause of the fire but they have not indicated that they are treating it as suspicious.
