A CHOCOLATE cafe has won the opportunity for Dragon’s Den's newest star, Steven Bartlett, to become their intern for the day, as well as a £5,000 cash grant from eBay.
The competition, in collaboration with eBay, saw entrepreneurs invited to share a 30 second video on Tik Tok detailing how the podcast host and social chain co-founder could help them step their company up to the next level.
Philip Hargreaves, who owns The Chocolate Café in Ramsbottom, submitted their video detailing their growth and their purpose, which is to show their customers the world of chocolate and their plans to become the UK’s fastest growing chocolate brand.
Mr Hargreaves said: “We’re so excited to have Steven come to our premises in Ramsbottom.
"I have been a long-time listener of his podcast ‘Diary of a CEO’ and admire all of Steven’s achievements which were done at such a young age.
"We are going to get him involved in all parts of the business, even making some chocolate.
"And hopefully he can share some of his experience and wisdom which will take our business to the next level.”
Mr Bartlett said: “I can’t wait to get stuck in with a new small business.
"I’m sure I’ve got lots to learn and I’m excited to be involved in inspiring and educating the next generation of entrepreneurial talent.”
The Chocolate Café was established in 2008 and has been a staple in the region's food and drink scene ever since.
Mr Hargreaves bought the business in 2019 and has since launched his stand-alone chocolate brand ‘Crafted chocolate’ which is now available in various outlets across the country and online at The-Chocolate-Café.co.uk.
They will be vlogging their journey right up until meeting Dragon’s Dens newest star showing everything behind the scenes.
