AN UPSET man headbutted a man he thought was a love rival after turning up and finding him at the home of a girl he was seeing, Burnley magistrates heard.
The court was told how angry Darren Alan Holt, 23, who claimed he had been reassured she and the victim Chris Taylor were just good friends, was surprised to find him at the property.
Holt had broken glass banging on the door and had gone inside.
Mr Taylor was said to have got hold of Holt's hands to restrain him.
But Holt went too far and butted him.
Holt, of Wordsworth Street, Burnley, admitted assault by beating and damage on January 20.
He was bailed until February 20 for a pre-sentence report. He was told not to go on Barden Lane.
