Seedhill, Nelson, 1971
IT’S hard to believe but this picture shows what was once a Football League ground.
It was taken in 1971 after Nelson FC played their last game at the Seedhill ground.
The ground would host stock car racing after the club moved to a new ground at Victoria Park. Seedhill was Nelson’s home when they were members of the Football League in the 1920s. The ground was demolished in 1980 to make way for the M65
