Councils around the country are in the process of paying out the £150 council tax rebate to help residents deal with a massive surge in energy prices, and Preston City Council are among them.
If your property falls within the council tax band A-D then residents are entitled to the money, which won't need to be paid back.

When will Preston City Council pay the £150 council tax rebate?
If Preston City Council has your bank details on file because you pay by direct debit, you should receive the £150 rebate this week.

The council says it is aiming to make payments from the end of April onwards, and this week marks the final week of April.
For those who don't have a direct debit set up, you will need to verify your bank details with the council or select an alternative payment method.
The authority notes that applications will be made through a secure process, and it will publish details of how to do so at a later date.
