A man in his 60s has been left with a fractured cheek bone and eye socket after being viciously attacked in the street.
At around 11.30pm on April 14, the victim was walking on The Crescent in St Annes when there was an altercation with another man.
The victim was attacked before the assailant fled the scene.
The man, who is in his 60s, was taken to hospital where he needed surgery on his cheek bone and eye socket.
Police are now appealing for witnesses or information and are especially looking to identify the man in the CCTV stills.
A police spokesperson said: "Around 11.30pm on April 14, a man in his 60s was walking on The Crescent when there was an altercation with another man.
"The victim was then attacked, suffering a fractured cheek bone and eye socket which later required surgery at hospital. The attacker made off from the scene.
"Following CCTV enquiries we want to speak to this man, pictured, in connection with our investigation."
The man is white, balding and was wearing a white shirt, shiny black gilet, black trousers and black shoes.
Det Con Mark Whittle, of Blackpool CID, said: “The victim has been left with some shocking injuries and we want to find the person responsible.
“I am asking for the public’s help in identifying the man, or urging him to come forward and speak with us.”
