A 25-year-old man who was arrested after a teenager was knocked down on New Year's Day has been rebailed until February 21.
Martin Flaherty, 17, of the Anchor estate, Darwen, was struck in Blackburn Road, Darwen, as he made his way to a New Year party with friends at 1.30am.
He was carried on the bonnet and windscreen of a pick-up truck for more than 100 yards after being hit, police said.
Police arrested the suspect, from Darwen, on January 2 after recovering a Nissan Navara, and bailed him until the end of the month pending further inquiries.
He was this week re-bailed until February 21.
Martin suffered multiple injuries and was taken to the intensive care unit at the Royal Blackburn Hospital.
Sergeant Mick Young, from the road policing unit, said: "He is now out of hospital and recovering at home with family.
"He is still poorly but getting better."
