SAINSBURY'S in Darwen is inviting customers and colleagues to nominate local charities to be its official local charity partner.
The selected charity will benefit through colleagues organising fundraising or volunteering to help in other ways.
Local people can nominate their chosen local charity before the closing date of February 10 by submitting a nomination form at the customer service desk.
Sainsbury's will draw up a short-list from all nominations submitted.
Representatives from the top three short-listed charities will visit the store to talk to colleagues about what they do and how the Sainsbury's team could help.
Finally, all the workers at Sainsbury's Darwen will have the opportunity to vote for one of the short-listed charities.
Store manager Philip Thompson said, "We are keen to find a charity that is close to the hearts of our customers and colleagues.
"We want to make a positive difference to our local community and by supporting a local charity we can pull out all the stops to achieve something special for them."
