East Lancashire football clubs are among those being honoured as the Lancashire FA Sunday Trophy Final celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
A call has now gone out to find a team picture of the very first winners of the trophy from 1972.
Nelson Nomads of the Burnley Sunday League won the final 50 years ago, and people with links to the club who have a photo of that cup winning squad are being urged to get in touch with the Lancs FA.
They were among a number of amateur clubs from Blackburn, Burnley and Pendle who were crowned winners in the highly competitive cup competition. Of those Mill Hill of Blackburn have won twice in 2005 and 2012.
Crown Paints of the Blackburn Sunday League were the most recent winners from the league in 2019.
Notable winners from East Lancs include:
Nelson Nomads (1972) (Burnley Sunday League)
The Wellington 1975 (Blackburn Sunday League)
Witton Inn 1980 (Blackburn Sunday League)
Alexandra 1986 (Blackburn Sunday League)
General Gordon 1996 (Burnley Sunday League)
Old Toll Bar 1999 (Blackburn Sunday League)
Mill Hill 2005 & 2012 (Blackburn Sunday League)
Oswaldtwistle St Mary’s 2014 (Blackburn Sunday League)
Crown Paints 2019 (Blackburn Sunday League)
