A TRUCK run which was held last year in memory of an East Lancashire man is taking place for the second time later this week.
Last June, friends of Clitheroe man Joe Robinson, who died in 2020, organised a truck run through the town and raised more than £5,000 for JDRF UK - Type 1 diabetes research.
The convoy of 68 trucks set-off from Clitheroe Auction Mart and travelled through Billington, Whalley, Barrow and Clitheroe.
This year Christopher Dixon, one of the main organisers of last year's truck run, is hosting the second such event, this time raising money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Mr Dixon said: "Following on from the success of last year's event, we are again running the Ribble Valley Truck Run in and around the Clitheroe and Ribble Valley area.
"Last year we had more than 70 trucks and wagons who turned out and made for an amazing atmosphere, so lets hope this year is an even bigger turnout.
"We are raising money for this great society as it is so close to many of our hearts."
The Ribble Valley Truck Run will take place on Easter Sunday, April 17, from 1:30pm onwards.
Details of the route will be posted in Clitheroe Facebook groups later this week.
