Thieves who stole a Renault Megane have been arrested follwing a cross-border police operation.
Officers noticed the stolen vehicle being driven in Belmont on Sunday afternoon, close to the Greater Manchester border.
The vehicle failed to stop for police and was later found abandoned by Greater Manchester Police close to Chorley New Road.
With the help of police dogs and response patrols, the offenders were located and arrested.
A police spokesperson said: "Stolen Renault Megane spotted by T1TacOps and T3TacOps in Belmont close to the GMP border.
"The vehicle failed to stop and was located abandoned by GMP traffic police near to Chorley New Road.
"GMP dogs unit and response patrols later located the offenders from the vehicle and arrested them."
