A secondary school teacher has been arrested on suspicion of sexual activity with a child.
The teacher, who is believed to work at Shuttleworth College in Burnley, was arrested earlier this week.
Police confirmed that a man in his 20s from Blackburn was arrested on suspicion of sexual activity involving a child under the age of 16.
A police spokesperson said: "A man in his 20s from Blackburn was arrested on suspicion of sexual activity involving a child under 16.
"He has been released on bail."
No further details have been provided at this time and enquiries remain ongoing.
