A MAN who fell out with his girlfriend because of her admitted infidelity was breathalysed as he drove to his parents' house after getting locked out of his own.

Blackburn magistrates heard that as a result Rikki Eastham would lose his job as a long distance lorry driver as well as his partner.

Eastham, 36, of Severn Street, Longridge, plead-ed guilty to driving with excess alcohol.

He was banned from driving for 16 months and fined £150 with £70 costs.

Aftab Bakhat, defend-ing, said Eastham had been out celebrating his brother's engagement and they had both been with their respective partners.

On the way home Eastham's partner of four years admitted she had been having an affair and the person she had been having the affair with had been in town that evening.

"This led to a row and during the course of that he got locked out," said Mr Bakhat. "He still had his car keys and foolishly drove to his mother's house."
