A driver was clocked travelling at more than 90mph in a 50mph section of the motorway.
Police enforcing on the M55 on Monday morning spotted the driver in lane three, who sped through the roadworks section, which had a reduced speed of 50mph, at more than 90mph.
The driver was followed by officers, stopped and reported for summons.
A spokesperson for the police said: "Enforcement on M55 this morning and got behind the vehicle ahead in lane three.
"Driver failed to see liveried BMW behind them and continued to travel at over 90mph into the roadworks section.
"Stopped and reported for summons."
