ESTATE agents often boast that a property has original features in an attempt to tempt prospective buyer.
But when a terraced property on Whalley Road, Read, went up for sale in March 1992 it had far more to offer than dado rails or skirting boards.
Black Horse Agencies in Burnley was selling the property for £23,000 which had proved to be a real time capsule.
It still had its original gas mantles instead of electric light fittings and a living room/kitchen complete with iron cooking range and a slopstone sink with a cold water supply for doing the washing.
Do you remember slopstone sinks? Have you ever used one? Tell us more.
