An East Lancashire pub has unveiled its new outdoor patio area – and it looks like the perfect place to enjoy the view as the temperature hots up this weekend.
The Hare and Hounds pub on Halifax Road, Briercliffe, revealed the new outdoor patio area earlier this week and say it boasts views of Cliviger, Thursden Valley and beyond.
Laura Riley, who manages the Hare and Hounds alongside her husband, Stefan, said: “I know I am biased because it’s my pub, but there is nowhere better in Burnley to sit outside, have some food and enjoy the view.
“The pictures don’t even do it justice – you have to see it in person.”
The new patio area is part of the pubs £100,000 revamp which will be completed in April.
With the money, they have renovated the dining area decorating and fitting new ceilings carpets.
Huge bifold doors open out onto the patio, which has been raised to make the most of the breathtaking views.
However, there are still some finishing touches to be made, such as the installation of a perimeter fence and final landscaping changes.
Laura posted the pictures to Facebook earlier this week and customers went wild.
The post has received hundreds of likes and Laura says the pub has been flooded with customers who are eager to use it.
She said: “Since posting it on social media we have been rammed and the reaction has been really good – they love it, especially since it is sunny right now.
“With the nice weekend of weather ahead we expect the views will look gorgeous from the patio.”
One customer said: “Looks brilliant… hoping to pay you a visit this summer.”
Another said: “Absolutely stunning. Well done to you both, my great friends, really well done.
“Really looking forward to Mother’s Day here,” said a third.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome to visit but smoking isn’t allowed on the patio.
