A DARWEN youth project has benefited from a £150 donation from workers in the town.
Youth Works, in Ash Grove, works with people aged eight to 24, and will use the donation to buy supplies for a party it hopes to hold in the next few weeks, as well as art and sports supplies.
Management at GGI Office Furniture on Global Way, Darwen, organised a raffle for their 150 staff, with nearly every employee buying a ticket after hearing about the need for donations from Blackburn's Community and Business Partners (CBP).
Wendy Hobson, employee community involvement mamager at CBP in Furthergate, Blackburn, said: "It is fantastic to have the support of a community-minded firm like GGI, who have shown one of the many ways employees can help charities in their area.
"There are a lot of ways to get involved so I would urge any companies who want to give something back to get in touch."
Youth Works has been supporting young people in Darwen for 10 years and currently has more than 300 members on its books.
It helps young people access the internet, look for employment, runs football training and has a Brook sexual health clinic.
