CHOCOLATE lover Irene Jones was thrilled to receive a birthday message from the Queen.
She was joined by her great great nieces Olivia Hinds, Bethany Hinds and Rossendale mayor, Coun Joyce Pawson, to celebrate 100 years of life.
Irene, who was born in 1908 in Birmingham and lived in the same house for 89 years, is the third of five siblings.
She was married to Bill, but never had her own children.
The former nurse has been a resident of Highfield Hall, Haslingden, for four years.
Her presents included flowers and a brooch.
Irene loves chatting to people about her life.
Her best memory is being allowed to go to the Cadbury's factory in Birmingham as a child.
