UK fuel prices have hit a record high this week. In light of the new data, we have rounded up some of the cheapest places to get petrol and diesel in Lancashire.

According to the new government data, which was published this week, the average price of petrol across the UK is 159.96p per litre for petrol and 169.48 for diesel – the highest figure on record.

For petrol, this is a 15 per cent increase on fuel prices this time 10 years ago and a 28 per cent increase on fuel prices this time last year.

Diesel prices have jumped by more than 31 per cent when compared to data from 15 March 2021.

Experts said that the price of diesel could possibly hit as high as £3 per litre if production in Russia is shut down and oil prices rise.
