A MULTI-FAITH service was held at the Peace Garden, Croft Street, Burnley, yesterday to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.
Community groups from across Burnley gathered to speak of what it meant not to forget the injustices of the past.
Rev Keith Richardson, from Ightenhill Methodist Church gave a reading as did Shahida Iqbal from the Building Bridges Project.
The Mayor of Burnley, Coun Peter McCann, was also in attendance.
The theme of the National Holocaust Memorial Day this year is 'imagineremember, reflect and react'.
The short ceremony urged all faiths and cultures to remember victims of oppression and torture across the world.
