Blackburn presenter, AJ Odudu, stunned fans while making her appearance at this year’s Bafta Film Awards.
Alongside comedian, Tom Allen, AJ interviewed some of the biggest names in the film industry yesterday (13 March).
Upon posting a picture of her black sequinned dress, with mesh top and flowing skirt, to her 228,000 Instagram followers, AJ was flooded with praise.
One person said: “Holy smokes!”
“Stunning,” said another fan. “You and Tom were amazing on the red carpet.”
“You look fabulous,” said another.
A fourth fan said: “Best dressed! Great job all around, so proud and happy for you.”
“Stunning,” said another.
Posting to her Instagram stories, AJ shared a video of her hair and makeup being completed.
She said: “It’s Bafta day. Getting my wig plucked and getting ready to meet all of the celebs on the red carpet.”
She also posted a picture of herself and Tom before their Bafta ‘glow up’. In the snap, they are wearing dressing gowns with their heads wrapped in towels.
Millicent Simmonds (A Quiet Place) and Kelvin Harrison Jr. (Cyrano) are just some of the big names that AJ managed to chat to.
In one funny moment, AJ even stumbled over the pronunciation of a film which she put down to her thick Lancashire accent.
Speaking to Kelvin, who plays Christian in Cyrano, AJ asked the actor how to pronounce the film title.
“My Blackburn accent just can’t hack it sometimes,” she said.
